Basecamp (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a personal AI companion platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our services at getbasecamp.ai.

2.1 Google Sign-In Data

When you sign in with Google, we receive:

• Your name and email address
• Your Google profile picture

We use this information solely to create and authenticate your Basecamp account. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, or any other Google Workspace data through our sign-in process.

2.2 Conversation Data

• Messages you send to your AI companion
• AI-generated responses
• Files, images, or links you share within conversations

2.3 Account & Usage Data

• Account preferences and settings
• Feature usage patterns (anonymized)
• Device and connection metadata (IP address, browser type) for security purposes

We use your data to:

• Authenticate your identity and maintain your account
• Provide and personalize your AI companion experience
• Store conversation history so your companion remembers context
• Improve our services and fix issues
• Communicate service updates

We do not:

• Sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties
• Use your data to train AI models outside your personal companion
• Share your data with advertisers
• Access your Google account data beyond basic profile information

When you choose to connect external services (such as Gmail, Notion, Slack, or others) through our integrations, you authorize access directly with that service. Each connection:

• Is initiated by you, on demand
• Is scoped only to the specific action you request
• Can be revoked at any time
• Is governed by the third-party service's own terms and privacy policy

We act as a conduit — your companion executes the action you request and does not retain copies of third-party data beyond the active session.

• Your companion runs on infrastructure dedicated to your account
• Conversations are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
• We implement access controls to prevent unauthorized access
• We do not share your data across users or companions
• Personally identifiable information (PII) is automatically detected and redacted from analytics and internal logs

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• Conversation history is retained to maintain your companion's context
• You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Revoke Google Sign-In access at any time via your Google Account settings
• Disconnect any third-party service at any time

Basecamp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification before the changes take effect.
